Appendix

Finding original sheet music written by Marc many decades after the event has been, at times, a frustrating challenge but one that has, occasionally, born fruit. Thanks to the extraordinary scope of the Internet, it was possible to track down The Sheet Music Warehouse in Devon, England, which happened to be holding five original pieces by Marc. “If You Could Come to Me” was in Marc’s collection of scrapbooks and a copy of Marc’s 1930 composition of the Dollar Academy school song was sent by Janet Carolan, the Archivist at the school.

The following are included in subsequent pages and give a good representation of Marc’s musical style:

  • If You Could Come to Me” (music by Marc Anthony; lyrics by Katie Anthony; published by Ascherberg, Hopwood & Crew Ltd)
  • Non-Stop Love” (music by Marc Anthony; lyrics by Clifford Seyler; published by Francis, Day & Hunter)
  • Teach Me to Dance” (music by Marc Anthony; lyrics by Harry Graham; published by Ascherberg, Hopwood & Crew Ltd)
  • Sympathetic Jane” (music by Marc Anthony; lyrics by Dion Titheradge; published by Francis, Day & Hunter)
  • I Thank the Moon” (music by Marc Anthony; lyrics by Bruce Sievier; published by Keith Prowse & Co. Ltd)
  • Deep Dream River” (music by Marc Anthony; lyrics by Bruce Sievier; published by Lawrence Wright Music Co. Ltd)
  • School Song” (music by Marc Anthony; lyrics by W. Kersley Holmes; published by Dollar Academy, 1930)

In addition, this appendix includes the article “My Daly’s Dream” by Marc Anthony, which was published in Music Masterpieces Part 32, in 1936.
